Ruth J. Woolsey

Ruth J. Woolsey 77, Wausau died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born April 11, 1931 in Waukesha, daughter of the late George and Edith (Brown) Burmeister. On September 7, 1957 she married James Woolsey in Waukesha. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1984. After her husband's passing Ruth held a variety of part time jobs, last being a clerical assistant at the Job Center. Ruth had several hobbies, but tending to her rose gardens and spending time with her family was the most important to her. Survivors include her children, Kathleen Woolsey, North Chicago, Illinois, Kris (Rhonda Gilles) Woolsey, Wausau and Kevin (Melissa Hayes) Woolsey, Weston, two grandchildren, Larissa and Anna Woolsey, one sister Elizabeth Tewes, Waukesha and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister Georgia Southard and one brother Richard Burmeister. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, Wausau. The Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Family will greet friends immediately following the services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
