Ruth R. Seymour

Ruth R. Seymour 88, Wausau, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born November 21, 1924 in Wausau, daughter of the late Herbert and Mayme (Ferries) Lodholz. On September 21, 1946, she married Donald J. Seymour in Wausau. He survives. In her younger years, Ruth worked at Val Kryshak Jewelers and for many years, she sold Tupperware and became a successful Tupperware manager. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gambling, dancing and volunteering at the polling places. Ruth loved to travel and spend winters in Florida with her husband, Donald. Most of all, she loved time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include, her husband of 67 years, Donald Seymour, Wausau; eight children, Dale (Ginny) Seymour, Birnamwood, Allen (Carol) Seymour, Wausau, Chuck (Leona) Seymour, Eagle River, Suzanne (Alan) Beck, Aniwa, Ron (Laura) Seymour, Wausau, Patty (Charlie) Leitermann, Mukwonago, Jeff (Stacey) Seymour, Cumberland, Maine and Terry (Connie) Seymour, Wausau; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Jehn, Joyce Steinke and Lois (Lester) Niewolny, all of Wausau; one brother, Orville Lodholz; Wausau; five sisters-in-law, Lucille (Maynard) Bedish, Eagle River, Joann (Duwayne) Schulz, Wausau, Darleen Fust, Wausau, Shirley Madden, Shawano and Rita Seymour, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lucille Budleski, Shirley Felch, Evelyn Smith and Delores Lodholz. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Froseth will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
