Ruth Petrowski

Ruth Petrowski 88, Wausau, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born November 20, 1918 in North Dakota, daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (Edwards) Boettcher. On June 29, 1946 she married John M. Petrowski in Wausau. He preceded her in death September 19, 1977. Ruth was a homemaker, loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them. She was a member of Holy Name Parish and their St. Catherine's Council. Through the years, Ruth was involved in many volunteer efforts at church including Summer Fun Chicken Dinners, organizing wedding and funeral dinners and Bingo. Survivors include her two daughters, Kathlyne Bethke, Wausau and her children, Bryana (Jody) Vandenberg, Oconomowoc and Dana (Michael) Bjerke, Madison; Maryanne (Dennis) Burazin, and her children, Joshua Burazin and Allison Burazin, all of Wausau; brother, Howard Boettcher, Wash.; three sisters, Bernice Wawrzyniak, Mosinee, Grace Van Aacken, Phelps and Annabelle (Dave) Gorski, Schofield. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
