Ruth M. Becker 91, Wausau died Tuesday June 26, 2012 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born September 26, 1920 in Peoria, Illinois daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Kenney) DeBolt. On August 21, 1943 she married Bernard Becker in Chicago. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2000. Ruth was a secretary at Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, Illinois and also was a bookkeeper for various companies in Illinois. She proudly served as secretary of the P.C.C.W. for St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau and also at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, craft work, dancing, singing and bowling. No matter how busy Ruth was she always found time to volunteer anyway she possibly could. Survivors include her children, Carol (Edward) Lary, Mosinee, John (Roberta) Becker, Arlington Heights, Illinois, Kenneth (Debra) Becker, Wausau and Alan (Jean Thillen) Becker, Antioch, Illinois, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Friday June 29, 2012 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chicago. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
