Russell K. Lukensmeyer, 53, Mosinee, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, unexpectedly at his home.
He was born January 20, 1959 in Green Bay. He is the son of the late Kent and Marjorie (Fabry) Lukensmeyer. Throughout his lifetime, he pursued many hobbies and interests including boating and yachting, computer building/repair, and scuba diving. He was also a licensed pilot and flight instructor. Russell was a history buff and enjoyed movies and music. He was proud of his three daughter's accomplishments. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren. Prior to his declining health, he would have been described as a fun loving man who enjoyed life.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessica (William) King, Hillsborough, North Carolina, Erin Lukensmeyer, Kronenwetter, and Kelli (Dustin) Laffin, Weston, two grandchildren, Logan Byrd and Jaxon Laffin, and his siblings, Susan (Mark) Hartman, Kronenwetter, and Mark (Julie) Lukensmeyer, Denmark. He is further survived by a special cousins, David Christensen and DeAnne Girton, Jessica's mother, Linda Peloquin, and Erin and Kelli's mother, Kathy Margraf.
A celebration of Russell's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Russell's name.
