Rufina L. Gauthier

Rufina L. Gauthier 65, Weston, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home. She was born November 14, 1945 in the Philippines, daughter of the late Bernardo Villamor and Delfina Lagura Josol. In 1969, Rufina graduated from St. Rita College in Manila, Philippines with a bachelor's degree in education. After college she traveled Europe and later worked in Holland as a seamstress. After two years of correspondence, she then moved to Athens, Wisconsin and married Robert J. Gauthier on March 25, 1972. They then purchased the Skylite Supper Club which she continued to operate until her retirement in 2004. Survivors include her children, Jason Gauthier, Atlanta, Mary (Roger) Johnson, Weston and Renee (Perry L.) Haugen, Sun Prairie, two grandchildren, Perry Andrew and Alex Haugen, her siblings, Antonio, Sofronio, Sor Renita, Belen and Esther. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Emeterio and her sister Lourdes. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
