Rudolph "Rudy" G. Stieber, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on February 23, 2014.
Rudy was born on May 27, 1925 in Wausau, son of the late Rudolph and Mary (Hoffman) Stieber. On May 9, 1951 he was united in marriage to Irene Writz at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Irene preceded him in death on January 5, 2012.
Rudy along with Irene owned and operated the Stieber Dairy Farm in Marathon. Rudy took great pride that this farm was in the Stieber homestead for over 150 years. He lived and died on the farm he loved so much. He was a man of few words but when he had something to say it was worth stopping to listen. Rudy was a fountain of good advice for his children and grandchildren and a wonderful example of hardwork and dedication. He was well respected by all who knew him. Rudy was also a devoted member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon.
Rudy is survived by his loving family including his four children, Allan Stieber, Owen, Susan (Fred) Huebsch, Rib Falls, Patty (Harley) Dallman, Rib Falls, and Linda (Peter) Quartararo, Belle Mead, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Shelley (Hector) Pintor, Amber Huebsch, Amanda Behnke, Sarah Behnke(Luke Blaser) and Jonathon Knapp and two great-grandchildren, Lyndsay and Hector Pintor. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, Norbert Rauen, Marvin Knoeck and Frank Heil; sisters-in-law, Agnes Heil, Julia Braun and Darleen Writz.
Besides his parents and wife, Irene, he was preceded in death by a brother, Al Stieber and sisters, Marie Krieg, Bernice Knoeck, Anna Mae Heil and Kathleen Stockhausen.
He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in the strong faith God gave him and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
