Roy E. Schulz
75, 308 Sunrise Drive., Wausau, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born January 24, 1932 in Merrill, son of the late Harry and Erna (Sturm) Schulz. On August 23, 1958 he was united in marriage to Roseann M. Slominski at St. Anne Catholic Church. She survives.
In his earlier years Roy was a truck driver for CF Freightways and later worked at Cities Service Oil Company. In 1971 he started Roy's Petroleum Service as owner and operator for over 35 years. Roy was an active member of the ABC Bowling Association, bowling in the Tuesday night Classic League for over 50 years. He also enjoyed golfing and in the summer of 2000 he got his first hole in one at Pine Valley Golf Course.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in Phillips where he and Rose own a cottage on Solberg Lake. He loved walleye and trout fishing, bird hunting and working in his shop at home creating beautiful cabinetry.
Roy proudly served his country as an Army Corporal in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.
Survivors besides his wife Roseann, Wausau include his children, Barbara (DuWayne) Jaecks, Ringle, Terry (Cathy) Schulz, Wausau, Todd (Patty) Schulz, Wausau and Beth (Terry) Iczkowski, Mosinee, five grandchildren, Nicholas and Stephanie Nowak, Mathew (Holly) Schulz and Blake and Desaree Iczkowski, one great grandchild, Brenden Dillabough, two step grand children, DuWayne Jr. and Josh Jaecks. He is further survived by one sister Adeline (Bob) Hoffman, Delaven and one step brother and two step sisters.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. James Schaefer will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Church of the Holy Name of Jesus.

Roy's humble and caring personality lead him into many lasting relationships and friendships. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
