Rosemary Conrad
86, Wausau, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Minnesota.
She was born November 11, 1925 to the late Cecelia and Henry Dreyer. In 1948, Rosemary graduated from Wausau High School and then obtained a position at the Brokaw Paper Mill, where she met her husband, Warren. After they were married, she became a homemaker. Later in life, Rosemary worked as a unit clerk for Wausau Hospital until her retirement.
She was an avid reader, loved to travel, often with her brother, Mark, and also had the opportunity to travel to Europe. One of her favorite pastimes, was playing bridge regularly with the same group of ladies and she was very dedicated to her Catholic faith. Rosemary made the best homemade pies.
Survivors include, two children, John (Martha) Conrad, St. Louis Park, Minn. and Diane (Ray) Christo, Maple Grove, Minn.; two granddaughters, Erica Christo, Maple Grove, Minn. and Bethany Christo, Columbia, Mo.; one brother, James (Helen) Dreyer, Wausau; and several nieces and nephews in Ohio, Minnesota and Alaska; and many cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; and two brothers, Mark and Bill Dreyer.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
