Rose Mary (Breitenstein) Clark

Rose Mary Clark, 89, Wausau passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Manor.

She was born April 10, 1936 in Dancy, daughter of the late Harlow and Florence (Carl) Breitenstein.  On November 17, 1956 she married Marvin Clark at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood.  He preceded her in death on November 26, 2005.

In her earlier years Rose worked at Marathon Electric, then went to work as a waitress at The Diner on 3rd Avenue and lastly before she retired, she was a custodian at St. Anne Parish.  Some of her favorite pastimes included bowling, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and canning.  One true passion for Rose was to babysit her grandchildren as often as she could.

Survivors include her children, Ron (Sue) Clark, Weston and Karen (Karl) Wolf, Ringle, her six loving grandchildren, Heidi (Ted) Menchaca, Chad (Amber) Clark, Jordan Clark, Aaron (Heidi) Clark, Lisa (Brian) Werner and Jason (Jess) Wolf, 14 grandchildren and her siblings, Sharon (Len) Koziel, Weston, Judy (Jim) Kosmicki, Marshfield and Larry Breitenstein, Knowlton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Marvin, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald, her sister, Margaret Steuck, brother, Jim Breitenstein, an infant brother and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Breitenstein.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at St. Anne Parish.  The Rev. Tom Lindner will preside.  Burial will be in St. Philomena Cemetery, Birnamwood.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.  Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
