Rose Ann Bantes

Rose Ann Bantes 75, Wausau, died Monday, August 15, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at home surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. She was born October 19, 1935 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Anton and Agnes (Jagodzinski) Joswiak. On June 28, 1958 she married Wilbert Bantes at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He survives. After graduation from Edgar High School Rose Ann worked at Wausau Insurance, St. Mary's Hospital and Wausau public schools food service. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Lake Nokomis and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert, Wausau; daughters, Julie (Paul) Berg, St. Paul, Minn., Karen (Erik) DeBaker, Portland, Oreg. and Jennifer (Chris) Rovn, Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren, Ana DeBaker and Davis Rovn; brothers, Alfred "Bud" (Genny) Joswiak, Edgar, John (Ruth) Joswiak, Lake Tomahawk and Ray (Alvina) Joswiak, Edgar, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
