Rosalyn Boser

Rosalyn Boser, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2013 under the wonderful care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was greeted by an angel, Katie Hart, who was her best friend and niece. She was born March 12, 1919, in the town of Frankfort, daughter of the late George and Catherine (Kipp) Ellenbecker. On June 13, 1939 she married Joseph Boser at St. John Catholic Church, Wuertzburg. He survives. After retiring from Marathon Cheese, Rosalyn enjoyed playing cards and making quilts for her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; one son, Leroy (Mary) Boser, Indiana, four daughters, Carol (Steve) Rood, Oregon, Joann (Joseph) Habelt, Arkansan, Joyce (Russ) Greiber, Milwaukee, and Alice (David) Springer, Marathon; nine grandchildren, Sherry, Jason, Jeff, Michelle, Lisa, Marcus, Trevor, Troy and Sarah; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Adeline Boser and Rita Boser. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Ellenbecker, two sisters, Marie Bargender and Magdalene Lake, seven brothers-in-law, Omer Boser, Alex Karlen, Ernie Seefeldt, Robert Kosciesza, James Callan, Lawrence Lake and Joseph Bargender, and five sisters-in-law, Katherine Kosciesza, Marion Seefeldt, Delores Callan, Leona Ellenbecker and Lorraine Karlen. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Private burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services or St. Mary's Catholic School in Marathon.
