Rosalia B. Krahn

Rosalia B. Krahn, 91, Edgar, died Friday, April 2, 2004 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Schofield.
She was born January 26, 1913 in Rib Falls daughter of the late William and Theresa (Fischbach) Rux. On September 3, 1951 she married Alfred Krahn in Rib Falls. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1996.
Rosalia worked the family farm and enjoyed gardening. She attended Marathon County Normal School and the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point where she received her Bachelor's Degree. She was a member of several professional and community organizations and had a teaching career that exceeded fifty years. Rosalia started teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Marathon County. She was highly engaged with her students and was always helpful to them with a professional, caring and pleasant attitude. She made it a pleasure to learn and her greatest reward was seeing her young pupils grow up to be successful professionals. Rosalia greatly enjoyed teaching. She will be noted for her excellence and belief that she had the best job in the world. She believed students "learn best by doing".
Survivors include one sister, Della Pyan, Wausau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2004 at Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Donald Baumann will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again Monday from 10:00 a.m until the time of services at the church.
Rosalia was a kind and honost woman who was always ready to help anyone in need. Rosalia loved to read the Bible daily. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was fully ready to meet Him.
