Ronald J. Steif

Ronald J. Steif 65, Wausau, died Saturday, February 19, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born November 6, 1939 in Milwaukee, son of Sophie (Achenreiner) Steif, Duluth, Minn. and the late John Steif. On February 23, 1963, he married Gerry Kramer at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. She survives. Ron was a veteran of US Army and self-employed businessman in the Wausau area for many years. He enjoyed hunting & fishing with his grandchildren and spending time at his cabin up north. Survivors include wife, Gerry (Kramer) Steif, Wausau; mother, Sophie Steif, Duluth, Minn., one son, Rodney (Jackie) Steif and their children, Kimberley & Nathan; Wausau, one daughter, Paula (Paul) Knoblock, and their sons, Brandon & Bradley, Wausau; one sister, Mary Ann (Gerald) Ostroski, Duluth, Minn., nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate.
