Roland H. Totzke

Roland H. Totzke 68, Edgar, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born July 29, 1940 in the town of Frankfort, son of the late Richard and Viola (Rieke) Totzke. On February 17, 1968, he married Judith Dahlke at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wien. She survives. Roland was a member of the National Guard and the Army Reserves. Since 1968, Roland owned and operated Frankfort Auto and Machine. Among his many interests, he enjoyed music and flying and was a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and the Palm Sunday Chorus. Survivors include, his wife, Judith Totzke, Edgar; three children, Shawn (Patricia) Totzke, Livonia, Mich., Matthew (Rebecca) Totzke, Minneapolis, Minn. and Jennifer (Nathan) Olmsted, Weston; five grandchildren, Danielle, Otto, Archer, Fritz and Oliver; one sister, Arla Mae Manecke, Stratford; one brother, Myron (Karen) Totzke, Marathon; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church ELCA, W1000 County Road N, Edgar. Rev. Al Houts will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Sawyer-Drumm Post #393, Edgar. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
