Roger L. Kraft

Roger L. Kraft 71, Wausau, died Saturday, October 4, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born July 11, 1932 in Wausau, son of the late Edward and Margaret (Lemere) Kraft. On January 18, 1958, he married Sally Egner at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. She survives. Roger was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a Life Member and Past Commander of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No.10, Wausau. He was the owner/operator of the Kraft Dry Cleaning, Wausau until retiring in 1992. Roger enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working in his wood working shop. He was a member of The Board of Directors for the Wausau Story and Drum/Bugler Corps., The Beautification Committee with Pine Grove Cemetery and St. Michael Cemetery, all of Wausau. Besides his wife, Sally Kraft, Wausau, he is survived by three sons, Patrick Kraft, Wausau, Scott (Brenda) Kraft, Marshfield and Keith (Cheryl) Kraft, Milwaukee; five grandchildren: Stacy, Robert, Jonathon, Alex and Joe; one sister, Florence Porath, Merrill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Kraft. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau, where full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund.
