Roger John Elliott

July 18, 1928 — March 3, 2003

Roger J. Elliott, 74, Tomahawk, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at his home. Roger was born July 18, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late William and Florence (Oscroft) Elliott. He married M. Elizabeth "Liz" D'Arcy on September 22, 1950 in Riverside, Illinois. She survives. Roger was a carpenter and all around handyman. He also was in the real estate business in Wisconsin and Florida. Roger was proud to have served his country in the United States Army. He was a Master Mason and member of the American Legion in Florida and Tomahawk. Hunting, fishing and trapping were among his favorite things to do. Besides his wife, Liz Elliott, Tomahawk, he is survived by one son, Bud Elliott, Tomahawk; two daughters, Lynn (Kim) Kring, Brantwood, Debbie Elliott, Tomahawk; four grandchildren, Sheilah Kring, Matthew Daniels, Christopher Perger, Jason Kring; one brother, William T. (Betty Jo) Elliott, Port Charlotte, Florida. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2003, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. James W. Primley will officiate. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, Greenwood Cemetery, Tomahawk, where a Military Honors service will be performed. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue Funeral Home.
