Roger H. Bisping

Roger H. Bisping 72, 3317 Seymour Lane, Wausau died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born January 31, 1936 in Wausau, son of the late August and Martha (Kottke) Bisping. On October 12, 1957 he married Mary Ann "Mitzie" Sloan at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Roger was a fork lift operator at Hammer Blow Inc. for more than 40 years. Some of his passions included listening to Polka music, hunting, fishing and keeping himself occupied with odd jobs in his workroom. Roger will be deeply missed by all who know him especially his neighbors and friends who relied on him for the daily updates he was always know to give out. Roger served his country in the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis with the 32nd Army Division. Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Ann "Mitzie" Bisping, Wausau, his children, Debbie (Al) Berndt, Waterloo, WI and Brian (Gloria) Bisping, Mosinee, four grandchildren, Angel (Eric) Rieder, San Diego, Desiree Berndt, Waterloo and Amber and Jeremy Gollon, Mosinee, one sister-in-law, Ione Bisping, Washington, one brother-in-law, Wallace (Bonnie) Sloan, Wausau and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy and a sister in law, Gladys Sloan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
