Robin S. Kasten

Robin S. Kasten 44, 2306 Jeffrey Lane, Schofield, entered into her eternal life peacefully, surrounded by family and close friends, Wednesday April 24, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born May 7, 1957 in Wausau, daughter of Eugene Malueg and the late Helen (Beilke) Malueg. On September 11, 1982 she married Keith Kasten at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives. A 1975 Wausau East High School graduate, Robin also graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1978. Robin was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling with her family and gourmet cooking. She had been a dental hygienist with Dr. Michael Hill. Among her favorite pastimes was gardening, she was a Master Gardener as well as a member of the Rothschild Garden Club. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, enjoyed crafts of all types and was a volunteer for the Festival of Trees. Survivors besides her husband Keith and her father, Eugene (Peggy) Malueg, Sun City West, Arizona include a daughter, Rachel, and a son, Andrew; a sister, Terri Malueg-Ray, Alpharetta, Georgia, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shirley and Richard Kasten, Schofield, a sister-in-law, Sheryl (Jeff) Samse, Weston, three brothers-in-law, Jeff Kasten, Schofield, Gary (Debbie) Kasten, Schofield and Craig (fiance' Mona) Kasten, Wausau, two nieces, two nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Malueg in 1988. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2002 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Schofield. Rev. Ray Connor and Rev. David Zandt will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Comfort Care and Hospice Services or the charity of your choice. 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.' 2 Timothy 4:7-8
