Robert W. Weisbrod

Robert W. Weisbrod 89, Wausau, died Friday October 24, 2008 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born May 26, 1919 in Wausau, son of the late William Sr and Frances (Oldenweller) Weisbrod. On June 26, 1947, he married Adrienne Shea Pearson at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force in World War II serving in the European Theatre of Operation from 1942 until 1945 as Staff Sargeant G.T. Prior to his retirement, Robert had been employed as a clerk in the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Retired Federal Employees, The Battle of the Bulge, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club and St. Michael Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Adrienne Weisbrod, Wausau, a nephew, John Weisbrod, nieces, Jane Ince, Mary Swanson, and Brenna Weisbrod. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday October 27, 2008 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, where full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau.
