Robert A. Siewert

Robert "Bob" A. Siewert 84, Wausau, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born January 16, 1924 in Wausau, son of the late Oscar and Elsa (Seehafer) Siewert. On September 27, 1947, he married Lucille Fochs at the former St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2008. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946. For 28 years, he worked as a welder for the former Wausau Iron Works until his retirement. Bob played baseball with area leagues for many years and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include, two daughters, Diane (Don) Graminske, Phoenix, Ariz. and Lynn (Steve) Rochon, Florence, Wis.; two grandchildren, Sara (Branden) LaFleure, Murray, Utah and Mark (Kristy) Graminske, Gilbert, Ariz.; two step-granddaughters, June Contreras, Appleton and Kristy Rochon, Dayton, Ohio; three step-great grandchildren, Emma, Matthew and Nicholas, Appleton; one brother, Leslie (Ginny) Siewert, Wausau; three sisters, Florence Andreas, Wausau, Frances Semrau, Florida and Doris (Jerry) Doepke, Wausau; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Siewert, Wausau; one brother-in-law, Eugene (Margaret) Fochs, Mosinee; his very special friend, Danny Beeler; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his loving wife of 60 years, Lucille, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Norman, Floyd, Lawrence, Louis Albert and William Siewert; and three sisters, Evelyn Rase; Louise Alice Siewert and Irene Siewert. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Friday, January 16, 2009 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Donald Berg will preside. Entombment will be in The Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
