Robert E. Pyykonen

Robert E. Pyykonen 71, Merrill died Thursday, September 19, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Robert was born October 4, 1930 in Michigan, son of the late Edward and Martha Pyykonen. He married Beatrice Osborne. She preceded him in death on April 7, 1997. Robert is a Veteran of the US Army. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a paver for Tomahawk Sand and Gravel Company for 30 years. He is survived by one brother, David Clements, Michigan; step-children, Barbara Dallman, Schofield, Wayne (Cheryl) Lippert, Wausau, Diane (Alan) Neumann, Weston and Gilbert Lippert, Schofield; 11 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2002 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau. Rev. James Primley will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Monday until the time of services at the 6th St. funeral home.
