Robert John Narlock 73, Rhinelander, formerly of Wausau, died Monday, August 8, 2011, under the care of Ministry Home Hospice at his home surrounded by family. He was born March 5, 1938 in Wausau, son of the late Sigmund and Alice (Mullen) Narlock. On June 27, 1959, he married Audrey Marten at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Marathon Electric Corp. in 2003 after 45 years of service. After retirement, Bob and Audrey moved to Hixon Lake where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Among his favorite things to do were fishing on his pontoon boat, hunting and four-wheeling with his dog, Jake. Survivors include his wife, Audrey; three children, Alan (Terry) Narlock, Wausau, Kelly (Greg) Plautz, Wausau, and Mark Narlock, Rhinelander; 10 grandchildren, Damian, Katrina, Travis, Jeremy, Danielle, Dustin, Nick, Angel, Andrew and Sarah; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas (Gale) Narlock, Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Narlock. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Robert Anderson will officiate.
