Robert Evan Mueller

Robert E. Mueller, 73, 909 North 10th Avenue, Wausau, died Thursday, December 19, 2002 at North Central Health Care Facilities. Robert was born June 19, 1929 in Wausau, son of the late Oscar and Caroline (Obermeier) Mueller. He married Betty Obermeier at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau on June 23, 1951. She survives. Robert was an electrical technician and all around trouble shooter for nearly 37 years with Wausau Paper Mills. He was a United States Marine, serving during the Korean Conflict. Those who accompanied Bob, Betty and Jim on a day trip knew he felt great joy from being with people and sharing good times. His friends knew him as a person with knowledge about many subjects, such as, NASCAR racing, driving stock cars and geographical knowledge of the Florida Keys, as well as fishing in the Keys. Listening to music was a source of enjoyment, especially when in the company of his friends. Bob had a strong sense of right from wrong and recognized the value of a hard days work. His sense of humor created levity for many tense situations. "Bob will be remembered for his wit, wisdom and unique personality we have all come to know, love and admire. He will be greatly missed by many. Rest in Peace Dad, love, Jim, Betty and Dixie." Besides his wife, Betty, Wausau, he is survived by one son, James Mueller, Wausau, one granddaughter, Amanda Garinger, Wausau; one great granddaughter, Katilyn Garinger; Wausau; one sister-in-law, Joan Mueller, Wausau; one brother-in-law; Leonard Dellenbach, Wausau; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Dellenbach; one brother, Lloyd "Bud" Mueller. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2002 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Paterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of the arrangements.
