Robert A. Lemmer

Robert A. Lemmer 62, Edgar, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Bob was born November 7, 1948 in Wausau, son of the late Ralph Sr. and Margaret (Martin) Lemmer. On May 6, 1972 he married Sharon Wendt at St. John's Catholic Church in Edgar. He served his country in the United States Army. He was previously employed by Drott, CWA Freight and Abbyland Trucking. His hobbies included making rosaries for missions, building model military ships and through his artistic touch he brought life to old and new statues. He was an avid fisherman you might say a true "musky hunter". Bob loved his family. With his wife Sharon, they created an unbreakable bond with their children and grandchildren. They lived their core Christian values by leading through example. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Edgar VFW Post 10187. Survivors include his wife Sharon Lemmer, Edgar; his four children: Julie (Jack Knetter) Anderson, Marathon; Jacqueline (Eric Voigt) Lemmer, Edgar; Joe Lemmer, Edgar; Bobbi (John Voigt) Lemmer, Merrill; seven grandchildren: Alexander, Christian, Joshua, Robert, Miryssa, Kyra, Madeline. He is further survived by seven brothers and three sisters; two especially supportive friends Mike F.and George C. along with many other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen, brother Mark, brother-in-law Thomas Wendt and his father and mother-in-law Richard and Dorothy Wendt. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at St. John's Catholic Church and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. A parish rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
