Robert E. Kannenberg

Robert E. Kannenberg 66, 1022 S. 9th Ave., Wausau, died Monday, May 3, 2004 at his home. He was born September 5, 1937 in Marathon County, son of Ella (Frank) Kannenberg, Green Bay and the late Ernest Kannenberg. On May 21, 1960, he married Eleanor Marten at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives. Robert was a US Navy veteran. Robert was a stone polisher for Wausau Granite Company and was a monument installer for Norde Memorials Inc., Wausau until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching classic movies and listening to country music. Robert will be deeply missed by his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog, "Smokey" Besides his wife, Eleanor, Wausau and his mother, Ella, Green Bay, he is survived by two daughters, Gail (John Narlock) Cook, Rib Lake and Pam (Mike Geier) Kannenberg, Rothschild; two sons, Mike (LaVonne) Kannenberg and Terry (Stephanie Koski) Kannenberg all of Wausau; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean VanderPerrin, Green Bay and Dorothy Grosskreutz, Wausau. A graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau at a later date. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
