Robert J. Haas

Robert J. Haas, 83, Wausau, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center. He was born September 18, 1933 in Wausau, son of the late Robert and Christina (Bantes) Haas. Robert owned and operated Haas Builders, building many custom homes throughout the years. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his sons, Gilbert (Ann), Glen (fiancAC. Kristine), Gregory (Tammy) and Gaylen (Jenny) Haas; grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler Haas, Emily and Olivia Haas, Brittany Haas, Briella and Edith Haas; sister, Donna Mae Stamus; mother of his children and grandmother, Dolores Haas-Folz. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
