Robert J. Blair

Robert "Rob" J. Blair 53, Wausau died Thursday, May 24, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Hospice House, Wausau. He was born January 31, 1959 in Wausau, son of the late Charles and Roberta (Spiecher) Blair. On January 8, 1983 he married Susan Dunbar at St. John Lutheran Church, Phillips. She survives. For more than 30 years Rob worked inside sales with Ferguson Enterprises in Wausau. Rob was born in the city of Wausau and was a 1977 graduate of Wausau East High. He enjoyed traveling with his family, creating memories with a recent trip to Yellowstone National Park and various places en route. Rob was very passionate about electronics, cars and movies, which were "fueled" by his son, Adam. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan, watching, listening and attending games with his family. Camping trips to Crystal Lake and Door County were regular summer events for the Blair family. Rob was a member of Therapy Dogs International and enjoyed volunteer work with his wife, Sue, daughter, Amy, and their dogs, Marley and Luna. He was a great Dad attending nearly all school and sporting related events his children participated in. Anyone who knew Rob will without a doubt miss his great sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, Susan Blair, Wausau, his two children, Adam and Amy Blair, both of Wausau and two sisters, Judy (Ted) Blus, Wausau and Jane Swanson, Atlanta, Georgia and his nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles "Chuck" Blair and one nephew, Brad Swanson. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Nancy Russell will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Rob's name.
