Robert Bergmann Jr

Robert "Bobby" R. Bergmann Jr. 64, Merrill, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison. He was born October 12, 1947 at the Taylor County Memorial Hospital in Medford, son of the late Robert Sr. and Joyce (Inez) Bergmann. On November 14, 1970, he married Ramona Armbrust in Merrill. She survives. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army, and served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a metal fabricator for Merrill Iron & Steel, Inc. for 24 years until his retirement, and was the third employee hired. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the lottery. Survivors include, three children, Michele (Steven) Muenchow, Merrill, Robert (Connie) Bergmann III, Merrill and Eric Bergmann, Weston; five grandchildren, Brianna, Savannah, Samantha, Ashley and Mark; two great grandchildren, Coltynn and Abby; six siblings, Maria Kluckman, Merrill, Joe (Becky) Chenier, Marshfield, Carol (John) Zinkowich, Athens, Lee (Wanda) Bergmann, Sheboygan, Lynn (Dan) Dennison, Edgar and Kathy (Pete) Ulrich, Ogema; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tristan. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens.
