Robert "Rob" J. Beck

Robert "Rob" J. Beck, 51, Wausau died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home, from natural causes. He was born August 1, 1962 in Wausau, son of the late Jerome and Bertie Lou (Wendorf) Beck. On September 18, 1992 he married his best friend, Michelle Lemma at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. She survives. He was a graduate of Wausau East High School in 1980. He furthered his education at Western Wisconsin Technical Institute of LaCrosse, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Graphic Arts. Rob was a dry waller at Wausau Homes for more than 28 years and then in August of 2013 he went to work for Stratford Homes also doing dry wall. Some of his favorite hobbies included traveling, hunting, especially deer hunting, being a sports fan on many levels and enjoying muscle cars and hot rods. Rob's true passion was his dogs. He loved them dearly. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Beck, Wausau, his newest addition to the family, nine month old Abby, a chocolate lab, his siblings, Randy (fiancAC. Mary Boge) Beck, Wausau, Rick Beck, Wausau, Ron (Karen) Beck, Rothschild, Ruby (Tom) Thoma, Wausau and Ryan Beck, Weston, his nieces and nephews, Nate (Melissa) Beck and Nick Beck, Phil (Sara) Beck, Melissa Beck, Cassie Beck, Jake (fiancAC. Amanda Muetzel) Thoma and Justin Thoma, his mother-in-law, Janet Lemma, Wausau, two sisters-in-law, Julie Fochs, Wausau and Lori Lemma, Weston, two brothers-in-law, Lyle (Laurie) Lemma, Schofield and Brian Lemma, Wausau, Michelle's nieces and nephews, Tim Fochs, Craig (Chrissy) Fochs, Dustin Bentz, Tyler "T.C." Lemma, Matt (Christy) Lemma, Jeremy (Jeanine) Lemma, Brandon Boe, April and Tiffany Lemma as well as great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gale Lemma and his two faithful companions of many years, Natasha, (yellow lab) and Mikayla, (black lab). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Ted Gulhaugen will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
