Robbie S. Voigt

Robbie Scott Voigt passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, with his beloved dog, Lila, by his side. Robbie was born June 6, 1974, to Robert and Karen (Krohn) Voigt in Wausau. He was an adventurous little boy, often pulling typical boy stunts and teaching his younger brothers the way of their world while causing just enough trouble to keep his mom on her toes.

Robbie was always drawn to the older generation, sitting for hours learning from and talking with the retired neighbors. Spending time with his grandparents was one of his favorite things to do in childhood. Robbie always had great memories of spending the night fishing, camping, and just hanging out learning from them. This shaped his interest in the outdoors and working with his hands also. Robbie was an excellent hunter, loved fishing and being outdoors. He felt at peace in this element. He also taught his daughter to hunt and fish as well. Robbie loved spending time with Kaitlyn, going for walks or to the pool in summer. They shared so many fun times especially when she was younger playing with Polly Pockets and Club Penguin online.

Robbie was exceptional with small motor work, woodworking, and had vast knowledge of watches, clocks, gems and rocks, and various antiques. He had a special love for finding treasures at resale shops. Robbie enjoyed sharing his finds with everyone he could, especially his mom and mother-in-law.

Robbie was loved by so many people. He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Voigt; love of his life, Tammy Voigt; parents, Robert and Karen Voigt; brothers, Ryan (Rose) Voigt and Russell (Heather) Voigt; as well as many nephews and nieces. His special dog, Lila, will forever miss him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and LaVera Krohn and Sheldon Sr and Dorothy Voigt; as well as three uncles.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday February 8, 2024 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
