Rita A. (Seubert) Menzner

Rita A. (Seubert) Menzner, a life long resident of Marathon, died Wednesday, July 13th at her home. She was born June 2, 1934 in Marathon, Wisconsin, daughter of the late August and Elizabeth (Kaufmann) Seubert. She married Donald Menzner on September 8, 1956 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rita lived a quiet life of serving her much loved family and others in many different ways. Her gentle quiet approach to all things was a testimony of her love for God and her belief in living a prayerful life through all her actions and deeds. Survivors include her husband, Donald Menzner, Marathon, son, Steven (Jean Daul) Menzner, Hayward, daughter, Ann (Lee) Zemski, Tomahawk, two grandsons Nicholas Menzner and Gunnar Zemski, three sisters Marie Goldbach, Marathon, Angela Kannenberg, Wausau, Judith Stroick, Chandler, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, a brother, and twin grandsons. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a. m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p. m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Marathon with a Rosary service at 6:30 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:30 a. m. until the time of services at the church.
