Richard “Dick” “Slim” M. Ziemke, 74, Stevens Point, formerly of Wausau passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at North Ridge Assisted Living Facility, Stevens Point.
He was born December 20, 1945 in Medford, son of the late Ernest Ziemke and Ann (Kretschmer) Bolz.
For many years Dick worked at numerous dairy farms around Medford, Stratford and Dorchester. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching the Green Bay Packers, playing cards and visiting with family. He found great joy in visiting with his great nephews and his great great nephew.
Survivors include his brothers, Dennis (Jan) Ziemke, Alaska, Ernest (Kay) Ziemke, Alabama and Bob (Linnea) Ziemke, Alaska, John Ziemke, Wisconsin, his brother-in-law, Todd Mumford, Wausau, Wisconsin, one niece, Tania (Allen) Paszek, Rothschild and four great nephews, Zacharia Paszek, Logan Clancey, Dakota Paszek and Dalton Paszek, one great great nephew, Kaleb Paszek and one great great niece, Brynlee Paszek. Dick is further survived by many cousins from the late Ervin and Lena Dassow family.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Ernest, his mother, Ann Bolz, stepfather, Alfred Bolz and sister, Patricia Mumford.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery II, Medford. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
