Richard A. Switlick

Richard A. Switlick 56, Stratford, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill. He was born June 27, 1954 in Wausau, son of Jeanette (Sprenger) Switlick and the late Stanley Switlick. Richard was an avid tractor collector and enthusiast and was known for his loving, giving nature and willingness to help others. Survivors include his mother, Jeanette Switlick, Athens; eight siblings, Mike (Kathy) Switlick, Mark Switlick, both of Wausau, Dan (Laura) Switlick, Edgar, Jerome (Karla) Switlick, Athens, Francis (Jennifer) Switlick, Marathon, Lorraine (Don) Sobjeck, Wausau, Leanne (Victor) Smith and Lori Switlick, both of Mosinee; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Stanley, he was preceded in death by a brother, Florian, a nephew, Keith Boehm and two nieces, Amanda Boehm and Jennifer Patton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Friday from 10a.m. until the time of services at the church.
