It is with great sorrow that we learned our “baby brother” passed away unexpectedly.
Richard A. Springer was born November 14, 1957, in Wausau to Francis and Bernice Springer. He was the youngest of five children, Roger, Patricia, Kathleen, John and then Richard, but we all knew him fondly as Dickie. He was a truck driver for several different companies, in Wausau, Louisiana and Mississippi. After high school he ended up living in Merrill.
Dickie lived a simple life by himself in his last years after retirement. He enjoyed making his own homemade meals and desserts. He enjoyed trying out different recipes and experimenting with ingredients. He loved to talk about his experiments and share them with his older sister, Patsy, now deceased. He was a son, brother and uncle to all who loved him dearly. He had a fun sense of humor and would come up with a comment quite out of the blue! He had a kind heart for the dogs and cats that came into his life, especially “Buck”, “Girl” and “Cat”.
He is survived by his siblings, Roger (Louise), Rib Mountain, Kathleen, Racine and John (Kathy), Crete, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death and now reunited with his parents and sister, Patsy.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
