Richard B. Mosse

Richard "Rick" B. Mosse 61, Wausau died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Rick was born February 2, 1950 in Deerfield, Illinios son of the late Baskett and Mae (Sipes) Mosse. On December 27, 1975 he married Christine Larson in Superior. She survives. Rick, was a man that was truly blessed with the ability to spread joy, laughter, love, and wisdom to the lives of all that met him. He loved with no limits which were most evident in his relationship with his wife Chris, daughter Lura and son David. His love was spread to all through warm hugs, endless stories, and words of encouragement. Rick was a man of many talents. As an avid outdoorsman he spent countless hours fishing with his friends and family as well as hunting, or just strolling through the beautiful woods of Wisconsin. His passion for that which he found of value was not kept to himself. He spent many hours teaching his children the importance of the outdoors as well as the names of nearly everything in it. As a master artist Rick had the ability to breathe life, emotion, and meaning into the many works of art he created throughout his life. Finally he was a man of great faith in God, a faith which he claimed with pride and spoke to others about with love and compassion. He was a truly great man, loving husband, compassionate father, son and brother. We will miss you Ricky, and your memory will live on in all of us. Finally to those whom loved him he would want us to remember that, "Hey, it's better than being eaten by the family pig." Survivors include his wife Christine Mosse, Wausau, two children, Lura (Steve) Javorek, Mosinee and David (Amanda) Mosse, West Allis and one sister, Nancy (Bill) Justice, Texas. A memorial service for Rick will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Ross Nelson will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Rick's name.
