Richard 'Dick' Engman
69, West Plains, Missouri, a former Wausau resident, died Thursday March 27, 2003 in Missouri.
He was born June 13, 1933 in Wausau. On July 6, 1957 he married Jacqueline 'Jackie' Handrick in Halder. She survives.
Dick was a veteran serving with the United States Navy. He had been employed with Marathon Electric Corporation retiring as foreman and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline 'Jackie' (Handrick) Engman, West Plains, Missouri, a son, Randy (Julie) Engman, Blue Springs, Missouri, three grandchildren, Daulton, Trae and Hayden Engman, his step-mother, Marion Sobvik, Wausau, two sisters, Nancy (Joe) Benicek and Sandy (Jeff) Deland, both of Wausau, a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Handrick, Marathon, three brothers-in-law, Ted (Ann) Handrick, Green Bay, Kurt Handrick, Wausau and Jason (Kathie) Handrick, Edgar, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, Lillian Ott, David and Audrey Steffen, Gerald and Pat Steffen, Julie, Lavern, Delores, Loretta and Gordie Wagner, his Marathon Electric family and his National Health Care Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, several aunts and uncles, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.
The funeral mass was celebrated Sunday March 30, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, West Plains, Missouri. Graveside committal services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday April 3, 2003 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.
