Reginald R. Schoenick

Reginald R. "Reggie" Schoenick 83, 125 River St. Wausau, died Friday, May 2, 2008 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Hospice House. He was born July 13, 1924 in Shawano, son of the late Otto and Anna (Zabel) Schoenick. On May 13, 1950 he married Arlene Sabatke in Crystal Falls, Michigan. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2007. Reggie worked for the City of Wausau Department of Public Works for many years. Some of favorite pastimes included tending to his gardens and his house plants, enjoying anything to do with nature, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and watching a NASCAR race. Reggie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Survivors include his two children, Karen Schoenick and Ron Schoenick, both of Wausau, his grandchildren, Ryan Schoenick, Nicole (Tom) True, Tina (Mike Shepard) Raduechel and Tonia (James Yaney) Raduechel and Sarah (Shawn) Sabatke. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother Clifford and his daughter, Carol Lang. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Reggie's name.
