Regina E. Warosh

Regina E. Warosh 97, 3402 Terrace Court, Wausau, died Monday, October 29, 2001 at Harmony Assisted Living/Terrace Court, Wausau under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Regina was born October 2, 1904 in Edgar, daughter of the late Anton and Helen (Clarkowski) Warosh. She graduated from high school in 1922. Regina was employed by L.H. Mall until his retirement, then came to Wausau and was employed by Winkelman's Department Store then Sears, Roebuck and Company. She retired December 31, 1969 after 28 years of service at Sears. Regina was a member of St. Catherine Council, the Sewing Club and St. Cecelia Circle at Holy Name Parish. She was also active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Rose, The National Society of Foresters, Senior Citizens, AARP and North Central Care Auxilliary. She loved bowling, sewing and crocheting, playing cards and traveling. Survivors include two nieces, Sister Dolores Lilla, FSPA, Merrill and Jeanette (Pat) Zimick, Irma, three nephews, Father James Warosh, S.J., Prairie du Chien, Del (Carol) Warosh, Kenosha and James (Alice) Lilla, Mosinee, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and one godchild, Joyce Proft, Edgar. Besides her parents, Regina was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Lilla and one brother, Ben Warosh. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2001 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of the arrangements.
