Regina M. Groshek

Regina M. Groshek 84, 405 N. Fourth Ave., Wausau, died Wednesday June 12, 2002 at the Hospice House, Wausau. She was born June 14, 1917 in the town of Alban, daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanne (Zywicki) Stankowski. On November 6, 1933 she married Florian Groshek at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Rosholt. He preceded her in death in 1982. Regina had been employed as a baker with the school lunch program at Wausau East High School retiring in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Kettunen, Wausau; five sons, Robert (Marilyn) Groshek, Frisco, Texas; Kenneth (Joyce) Groshek, Weston; Anthony (Barbara) Groshek, Milwaukee, Lawrence (Emily) Groshek, Oak Creek; Alan (Jane) Groshek, Eland; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, Hubert Stankowski, Birnamwood, four sisters, Esther Brzezinski, Wausau, Irene (Edmund) Landowski, Schofield, Lorraine Jozwiak, Chicago, Illinois, Caroline (Arnold) Clarkowski, Wausau. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 14, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Emmaus Fund at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau or Comfort Care and Hospice Services, Wausau.
