Raymond L. Wanta

Raymond "Jose" L. Wanta 58, Rothschild, died Friday December 1, 2006 in Tripoli. He was born May 5, 1948 in Chicago, son of the late Raymond and Ernestine (Zynda) Wanta. On April 29, 1967, he married Rose Herek at St. Peters Catholic Church in Stevens Point, she survives. He was employed at the former G.I Case, Schofield. Throughout his life, Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his hunting shack. Survivors include his wife, Rose Wanta, Rothschild; one daughter, Dawn Wanta, Rothschild; two sons: Brian (Pamela) Wanta, Edgar and Todd (Brenda) Wanta, Baraboo; two grandchildren: Raymond and Stephanie; three sisters: Jeanette (William) Cloud, Huntsville, Alabama, Donna (Jim) Koshollek, Oshkosh, and Eilleen (John) Gavinski, Wisconsin Rapids; and further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his dog, Toots.
