Raymond L. Strasser

Raymond L. Strasser 96, Wausau, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born May 23, 1909 in Edgar, son of the late Fred and Mary (Kania) Strasser. On October 21, 1931, he married Esther Kleinschmidt in Edgar. She preceded him in death on March 21, 1998. Ray was employed for many years with the former Curtis Windows, Wausau and retired from the Marathon County Parks Department. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and his pride and joy was raising the flag on the Exibition Building during the Marathon County Fair. Survivors include, one son, Ronald (Elaine) Strasser, Rib Mountain; one daughter, Ruth (Robert) Boers, Wausau; four grandchildren, Jeff Strasser, Wausau, Sue Shore, Juneau, Kathy (Mark) Rannow, Colby and Debra (Robert) Koepke, Merrill; three great grandchildren, Heather, Jessica and Jaime; three sisters; and one brother. Besides his parents and wife, Esther, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
