Raymond C. Seeley

Raymond "Ray" C. Seeley 91, Schofield, died Monday, June 21, 2010 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born December 13, 1918 in Hancock. On November 18, 1939 he married Dolores M. Spatz in Dubuque, Iowa. She survives. For more than 27 years Ray was the owner/operator of the Schofield Barber Shop and also worked at Drott Manufacturing Co. for eight years until his retirement. Some of Ray's pastimes included fishing, hunting, woodworking and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. He also took pride in planting many varieties of trees but his true passion was his family, especially the time that he got to spend with his grandsons. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Seeley, Schofield, his daughter-in-law, Barbara Seeley, Valparaiso, Indiana, two grandchildren, Marc and Kris Seeley, his sisters-in-law, Genevieve Krueger, Mary Nienow and Gertie Spatz, all of Wausau, his brother-in-law, Bernard Spatz, Wausau along with many nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Seeley and two brothers, Vernon and Harry Seeley. At Ray's request there will be no services. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
