Raymond G. Krautkramer, 94, Wausau, died Friday, May 2, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
Ray was born August 29, 1908 in Marathon, son of the late Frank and Mary (Clair) Krautkramer. He married Margaret Schnitzer on October 5, 1941. She preceded him in death March 30, 1998.
Ray and Margaret owned and operated "Ray's Clover Farm Store" in Hilbert for 43 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Hilbert Knights of Columbus and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include two brothers, Walter Krautkramer, Marathon, Arnold (Lorraine) Krautkramer, Marathon; two sisters, Mercedes Knauf, Wausau, Viola (Ivan) Driscoll, Springdale; one sister-in-law, Marion Krautkramer, Marathon; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Margaret and his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome Krautkramer, Sylvester Krautkramer and one sister, Esther Krautkramer.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of services all at the church.
