Raymond Kleinstick

Raymond "Ray" O. Kleinstick 87, Edgar, died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 26, 1921 in Abbotsford, son of the late Richard and Martha (Redetzke) Kleinstick. On November 1, 1944 he married Lauretta Neuendorf in Medford. She preceded him in death on March 11, 1999. Ray farmed with his wife near Edgar before opening a painting and floor-covering business which expanded to a general department store in the Village of Edgar. In later years, they developed a direct sales food supplement business. Ray spent his time traveling to see his children so he could help them with their home improvement projects or any odd jobs they needed done. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and spending time with his family during their many activities. Survivors include his 7 children, Roger (Cindy) Kleinstick, Edgar, Judy (John) Lotz, Fairview, Tenn., Jenness (Jim) Hehenberger, Prairie Du Sac, Kathleen (Randy) Williamson, Fort Meyers Beach, Flor., Mary (Mike) Hehenberger, North Freedom, Richard (Sharon) Kleinstick, Marine on St. Croix, Minn. And Randy (Sherin) Kleinstick, Nashville, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Norman (Vivian) Kleinstick, Medford, Mildred Muir, Marshall and Arvid Kleinstick, Edgar; many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Donald Accola, sister-in-law, Marjorie Kleinstick and a brother-in-law, Rick Muir. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Edgar High School West Gym, 203 E. Birch Street, Edgar. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 327 N. 3rd Avenue, Edgar and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Edgar High School West Gym.
