Raymond W. Iselin

Raymond W. Iselin 85, 3005 Kildeer Lane, Wausau died Monday, June 15, 2009 under Palliative Care at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 31, 1924 in Racine, son of the late Raymond and Katherine (Henkes) Iselin. On September 17, 1949 he married Margaret Christopherson in Racine. She survives. Raymond was the former owner/operator of Future Products Corporation for almost 50 years. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church serving as president of the Parish council and also enjoyed teaching catechism. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trout fishing and was proud to be an eagle scout but to his family he will be remembered for the man who loved collecting almost anything. Raymond was a man of value and ethics and never turned down the ability to lend his teaching skills to anyone in need. Besides being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he was always known to be a practical joker. Raymond was a radio controller in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII serving in China, Burma and India. Survivors include his wife Margaret Iselin, Wausau, two children, Barbara (Steve) Kubichek, Tomahawk and Chris (Pam) Iselin, Casper, Wyoming, five grandchildren, Becky, Tim, Luke, Amber and Jonah, five great grandchildren, Marcus, Ian, Maggie, Brett and Braylon and one brother, Robert (Joyce) Iselin, Arkansas. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Marc. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
