Raymond C. Gumz
87, 3407 Skylark Lane, Wausau, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Ray farmed in the town of Wein for over 30 years and also worked in the construction with three local firms, Thomson Abbot Co, Wergin Co. and Boldt Co.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie (Lesczynski) Gumz, Wausau, three children, Donna Mae (Don Hedtke) Dean, Mosinee, Carol (Bob) Schultz, Burnsville, Minn., and Raymond (Nancy) Gumz, Winnebago, Ill., one step daughter, Antoinette (Edwin) Sitko, Mosinee, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren, one sister, Violet (Harvey) Glamann, Dorchester and one sister-in-law, Verna Gumz, Marshfield.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at the Stewart Avenue.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Paul Catholic Church or Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
