Raymond R. Bliese

Raymond "Ray" R. Bliese 78, Wausau, died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born January 12, 1930 in Wausau, son of the late Walter and Marie (Kroening) Bliese. On August 4, 1951, he married Delores Machel in Junction City, Kansas. She survives. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1951 to 1953. For many years, he was a sales representative for the former AAL Insurance Company until his retirement. Survivors include, his wife, Delores Bliese, Wausau; three children, Pauline (Tom) Flowers, Ellenboro, N.C., Ann (Pastor Joe) Fichtner, Fort Wayne, Ind. and Mike (Sandi) Bliese, Reno, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Thomas Flowers, Daniel (Kaley) Flowers, Kimberly (Andy) Jipp, Tracey (Dan) Tresley, Katie Fichtner, Jared (Lexie) Bliese and Clifford Bliese; four great grandchildren, Kaydan, Matthew, Faith and Olivia; one brother, Ralph (Phyllis) Bliese, Wausau; two sisters, Dorothy Schoepke, Fond du Lac and Janet Widule, Florida; and 36 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Dennis Bliese; and three sisters, Lucille Brandt, Arline Schroeder and Ruth Worden. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. David Wetmore and Rev. Joe Fichtner will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church, Wausau.
