Raymond A. Beilke
85, 611 N. County Road O, Wausau, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1920 in the town of Stettin, son of the late Alfred and Alma (Buttke) Beilke. On August 29, 1959, he married Amella Kage at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She survives.
Raymond was a ginseng farmer in the town of Stettin. During this time, they created Ray & Amella Beilke Incorporated traveling to Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. He was on the church board at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Stettin for six years. Besides bowling, deer hunting and sports, He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and was a pitcher for the Marathon Alleys Softball League.
Besides his wife, Amella Beilke, town of Stettin, survivors include one sister, Norma (Roland) Miller, Minocqua; one brother, Helmuth (Beverly) Beilke, Wausau; 23 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Stettin. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the Church.
