Ramona R. Maaser

Ramona R. Maaser 80, Wausau, died Friday, August 24, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born January 27, 1932 in Wausau, daughter of the late Luis and Helen (Blashka) Van Sleet. On November 14, 1960, she married Robert Maaser in Madison. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1996. Ramona was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the organ. She loved the fall season, spending time with family and friends and she loved the Lord. Survivors include, two children, Ruth (Mark) Knoble, Ringle and Robert Jr. (Anita) Maaser, Rib Mountain; five grandchildren, Chassidy (Brady) Bretl, Ringle, Kimberly Knoble, College Park, Md., Samantha Knoble, Ringle, and Brandon and Matthew Maaser, both or Rib Mountain; two great grandchildren, Brady Jr. and Nora Bretl; two sisters, Kate Baker, California and Irene Gunnels, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Robert, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Durwood, Miles and Calvin Van Sleet; and one sister, Leone Appolloni. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Duane Jass will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
